Be certain that there is motion in the video, meaning although the person is standing in one spot, he or she shouldn't be standing perfectly still. It might be a good idea for the person to be talking or moving their arms a bit. Be certain that you have at least 10 seconds of video. Frame your shot as closely as possible to the example at the right. |

In the example we used a camera's lense cap with three small pieces of duct tape attached to it. Shoot a 10 second video with you holding the circular object. Be certain to keep the circular object in the bottom third of the screen as seen at the right. |

Be certain to download the "scan lines" video from the top of the page and save it to the folder designated for this project. |

Open Adobe After Effects. Save the project as lastname-firstname-hologram in a location predetermined by your instructor. Follow the instructions in the video below. |

Now it is time to start working with the video you shot of a hand holding a flat circular object. Proceed by following the tutorial video below. |

To place the hologram on to your hand, follow the instructions in the tutorial video below.
